Campus Description
Walla Walla University was founded in 1892 as Walla Walla College.  On the beautiful campus, NBC campers will be staying in the University dormitories. Each room has two beds with nearby private shower facilities. Evening Programs are held in the old campus church, now an auditorium.  There is an athletic facility with three full courts and a swimming pool, and two school gymnasiums situated on the edge of campus. For soccer camp, there are three fields on campus (including two with lights).  Walla Walla University is located just next to Walla Walla in College Place, Washington, about an hour from the tri-cities.

John Fazio
Camp Director

John is the Site Director for all NBC Camps held at UCA in Spangle, WA and opens NBC’s first summer at Walla Walla University.  A full-time NBC employee, he runs a year-round basketball training program in Spokane called Varsity Academy.  John has several years of experience conducting individual training and is in his fourth year as an AAU coach in Spokane.  John has been involved with NBC since 1995.

Matt "BONES" Leonard
Matt is the Head Coach for the Boys and Girls soccer programs at Shadle Park High School in Spokane, WA. He was named GSL Coach of the Year in 2003. He also coaches the U-16 Spokane Shadow Boys team. Matt has been with NBC Camps for over 5 years and holds a USSF National “B” License in coaching. As a college player, Matt lettered all four years at Whitworth, was an All-Conference Defender and then went on to play with the PDL-USL Spokane Shadow. Matt won two high school state championships and three club state championships as a player and currently teaches in Spokane.

Please note our schedule is rigorous. Our evening programs involve motivational speakers, skits, music, and high energy entertainment designed to encourage you to be the best you can be. Instructional time is intense and puts you in the action with great drills that keep you interested and challenged. Because the emphasis is on improving your skills, you'll be playing games and more games.

How can I request a roommate?
At NBC Camps Spangle there is no need to request a roommate in advance. To request a room with a friend, stand in the rooming line together the day of registration. It is important to the NBC Camps' staff that campers are able to room with their friends. We will do everything we can to make this possible.
