NBC Camp at Whitworth University is the perfect place to experience volleyball camp unlike any other. NBC 's long history of instructing athletes to become their very best together with Whitworth's beautiful campus and dormitories provide an ideal location for campers to pursue excellence in all areas of their lives.

Extended Day Camps: These camps are being offered to allow campers to help save on the cost of camp while still maintaining the NBC Camps experience.  Campers do not stay in the residential dorms but rather arrive each day at 9 am and leave after evening discussion at 8 or 9pm depending on camp schedule.  Lunch and dinner are served.  

VOLLEYBALL OVERNIGHT CAMPS

Check in at 12:30 Camp begins at 2:00
Intensity Camp is on the third night of camp
Closing Program begins 3:00 pm final day
Camps end 4:00 pm final day

For extended day campers, check in time each morning during camp will be at 8:30 and check out each night will be around 9 pm. The check-in on the first day and end time on the final day for extended day are the same as overnight campers

Whitworth University's 200-acre campus of red brick buildings and tall pines offers a beautiful, inviting and secure environment. Campers will be staying in the nice older dorms.Each room has 2 beds available with nearby private shower facilities. These rooms are not air-conditioned and we suggest you bring a fan. The quality cafeteria facility provides an all-you-can-eat salad bar with fresh fruit, hot entrees with beverage, sandwich and cereal stations. Evening programs are held in the gorgeous campus auditorium. Whitworth has five gyms available on campus with plenty of floor space for games and training. Campers alternate being bussed to nearby local gyms to provide maximum competition. Whitworth is located seven miles north of downtown Spokane, Washington.

Roommates for this site need to be requested before camp begins. If you have no preference we will match you with a camper of same gender and similar age. Contact nbc@nbccamps.com if you need to add a roommate request.

About the Staff
We select outstanding people we believe are of high integrity and character, work ethic and willingness to pour their lives into helping athletes be their best. We work hard to hire College players, College and high school coaches and dynamic competent teachers of the game.

These camps are led by volleyball director Jamie Smart and administrator Doris Norris.

Jamie has coached for NBC Volleyball for four years. She also has coached club volleyball for four years. She played volleyball at Whitworth College where she was the captain of the 2002 team that played in the NCAA Western Regional Finals. Jamie is the director of volleyball at this site and also the site at Whitworth University. jamie smart was the team captain of the 2001-2002 Whitworth University volleyball teams which competed in the National tournament. The U17 team she coached went to the National Junior Olympic tournament in 2004. Doris Norris will act as the administrator of this camp. Doris Norris is the director of the very well known Sideout Volleyball club. She has been a director for four years and was recently inducted into Whiworth University Heritage Gallery Hall of Fame. During her career she was First Team-All-Conference and Three-time Regional All-Star.

Please note our schedule is rigorous. Our Evening Programs involve motivational speakers, skits, music, and high energy entertainment designed to encourage you to be the best you can be. Instructional time is intense and puts you in the action with great drills that keep you interested and challenged. Because the emphasis is on improving your skills, you'll be playing games and more games.

About NBC Power Camp
NBC Camps is excited to offer volleyball players an intensive weekend camp designed to train you to jump higher, hit harder, move quicker. Power Instruction includes teaching by NBC Master Teacher Mike Nilson. Volleyball instruction will be by NBC volleyball staff directed by Jamie Smart and Dorris Norris.

About NBC Intro Volleyball Camp
This camp is specifically tailored for beginning athletes, ages 8-12, who would greatly benefit from exposure to fundamental training.  These camps are ideal for athletes who have minimal experience and want have a positive, fun introduction to NBC Camps.  These camps are highly recommended as a great experience for young campers before they transition to overnight or extended day camps.  These camps focus on elevating skills, creating an environment of encouragement and success, as well as the NBC experience of the total camp for the total person. For athletes with 3 years of specific volleyball training or less.
