“Crowell’s Intensity Camp helped me with a lot of things in life, basketball, and spirituality. I felt that it helped me come into closer contact with God.” - Wellington Smith CIC ’03 Scholarship athlete at West Virginia University

“As a former camper and coach at NBC Camps, I can’t think of a situation that would be more beneficial for a young basketball player than the CIC camp.  Fred, Jay, and their staff are committed to making each camper the best player, and best person they can be.  They will work incredibly hard on the court, but the most inspiring changes will be made in their mind and heart.  This is the first step to success in life.  I believe and live by the values they teach in this intensive camp.  It isn’t for everyone, but it is for those who want to be the best on and off the court.”

I attended CIC camp the first year it was available for women, in 2002. This was summer before my senior year of high school. I always considered myself a hard worker and had been a part of my varsity team since I was a freshman. At CIC I learned to bring my game to the next level and become a more complete basketball player. I also learned to be a better daughter, teammate, student, and woman of the Lord.

The same month I got back from CIC, August 2002, I was offered a full ride scholarship to Seattle Pacific University. I am currently in my fourth year at SPU. CIC prepared me for college basketball more than anything else prior to my college career did. It taught me proper work ethic, skills, mental toughness, and how to carry myself with character and integrity.

I have been a coach for CIC the last three summers. I wanted to be able to give high school female athletes the same opportunity I received. It was the best ten days of my life and I want to be a part of those ten days as often as I can. Coaching CIC has been a privilege and something I will never take for granted. If you want to elevate your game there is no better place to do it than CIC.

"I strongly believe in the philosophy, 'Hard work pays off.' To be competitive on a national level, an athlete must be working and improving on all components of their game and athletic ability continually. I do not think there is a better platform for basketball development than Crowell's Intensity Camp, not just because of the ten day program, but because CIC challenges the way you approach the game of basketball. Players that truly buy into our philosophy, see significant gains after ten days, but see a tremendous difference three months, six months, and years after the camp." - Jay Crowell

"Playing basketball competitively at a high level of intensity is a learned behavior. By limiting enrollment to those who desire to excel for 10 consecutive days provides an incredible learning opportunity. The past two years many of our athletes have returned home to surprise coaches and teammates with amazing improvement in basketball skills, quickness, strength, confidence and mental toughness. Players can expect great results because we have high expectations for our athletes." - Fred Crowell
