Basketball Travel Team Selecting Girls for Vienna, Budapest and Prague
Girls Basketball Travel Team
NBC Travel Teams are selecting girls to travel to Vienna, Budapest and Prague on the 2017 Girls Basketball Travel Team to Austria.. Girls will travel outside of Austria to the cittes of Prague and Budapest. Visit some of the most beautiful cities in the world and see the Prague castle, St. Charles Bridge, the petrified hand of St. Stephen, Mattias church, and Stephansdom. Girls already selected for the team are coming from Washington, Colorado and Alaska. These girls were selected based on strong basketball skills and moral character. Coach John Stene, a veteran travel team coach will be the head coach of this team. Girls will compete in and around Austria, the Czech Republic and Budapest. Campers will play games, connect with teams from these countries and sight see.
Girls will come together for a private training camp to receive training on and off the court for international play and travel. The travel teams focus on building leadership, education, meeting new friends and building basketball skill and confidence. "Playing teams from different parts of the world was very eye opening for me. I feel I grew more as a person and as a leader in those short weeks than I could have imagined. Travel teams expanded my vision of the world, helped me be more grateful and responsible and allowed me the opportunity to make friends for a life time." says Shawn Stetson, former NBC Travel team member to the UK.
