Anyone who registers for 2010 camp before January 15th can call and request the flexible payment option. With a deposit of $150, you can then authorize the NBC Office to charge your credit card an amount you approve each month or as you choose.
Balance must be paid in full 30 days before camp begins. There is no extra cost for this service and is only available as part of the VIP special status treatment for those who register early.

Fred Crowell began coaching basketball in 1963 at the University of Idaho. Forover a half century Coach Crowell has developed a unique basketball system. His classroom has been worldwide
and includes many of the greatest coaches ever. Pete Maravich taught Crowell how todefeat the Box-and-One defense. Maravich proved to be a great teacher scoring 48
points versus Crowell's Box-and-One! Cotton Fitzsimmons, coaching great at Kansas State and the
Phoenix Suns, taught Crowell the value of being ableto change defenses, and it helped him give KSU its only home loss of a great season.
The best classroom is not coaching against Dean Smith at UNC or Don Haskins at UTEP, but teaching and coaching young boys and girls. Bob Knight has been quoted as saying, “Basketball is the least taught and most over-coached game in the world.”

NBC Camps has been selected to host a contest this year at Hoopfest called, "The PURE SHOOTER CONTEST." NBC Camps will host two contests for all Hoopfest participants and spectators.

1. Hot shot contest. Player shoots from 5 spots. Win if you hit all five.

2. Ultimate Pure Shooter Contest. Hoopfest and NBC Camps are looking for the best shooters in each age bracket. Names will be published on both websites. Winners will receive gear and/or scholarship money.

Contest rules: Each player will have a maximum of 15 shots. You shoot until you have two misses or until you reach 15 shots. Each spot is worth between 2 and 25 points depending on degree of difficulty. The highest scores from each age bracket will be posted continuously Saturday and Sunday until the closing at 4pm. Winners will be notified Monday and names given to Media and posted on both Hoopfest and NBC Camps websites.

The location of the contest will be near center court. Stop by the booth and show us your shot.
Tickets can be purchased by Hoopfest and all monies go to Hoopfest. Cost for games $1.

Walt Mitchell was Fred Crowell's beloved uncle and hero. Walt was the kindest and most loving man in his life. Father Tyrrell is one of Gonzaga University's most renowned and respected professors. He is the wisest and most gracious man in the lives of the Crowells.

Sports Leadership Ministries, a nonprofit organization, will offer camp scholarships beginning April 15th. One type of scholarship is based on financial need and one is based on merit. Last year, SLM gave over $49,000 in scholarships to recipients. Forms will begin to be processed April 15th and will conclude once funding has been exhausted.
