Spring Session focuses on laying a foundation for off-season workouts and improvement. Our goal is to give players the tools necessary to maximize the spring and summer months which are critical for serious players to grow in their skills and confidence. Join us this spring; it could be the difference maker for next season!

Staff

Varsity Academy's positive, energetic, enthusiastic staff creates an atmosphere where athletes can develop basketball skills and self-confidence. The staff prides itself on teaching through encouragement, skill correction, and positive reinforcement. The members of the VA staff have several years of experience with NBC Camps.

VARSITY ACADEMY DIRECTOR

Luke Lavorato

Luke began at NBC as an 11-year-old camper and now runs camp and Varsity Academy.  He has over 10 years of NBC Camp experience. A scholarship athlete at the University of Alberta, he earned a degree in Business majoring in Law and Economics.

Other Coaches include: college players past and present, current high school coaches, and visiting guest coaches from the Northwest.

Details

Each athlete in the Varsity Academy will be given a VA t-shirt that is to be worn to each gym time as the Varsity Academy uniform. All athletes are expected to provide their own basketball, water bottle, indoor shoes, and hoop clothing. 

On the first day of VA, please bring a signed copy for our Medical Release Waiver.

VARSITY ACADEMY D2 TRAINING
Designed for ages 9-13, we divide athletes into training stations based on skill level and ability.
It is worth the investment to learn basketball skills correctly during the formative years. We take pride in making sure athletes can execute skills correctly. Each athlete is important to us and we want to help you reach your basketball and life dreams and goals.

VARSITY ACADEMY D1 HIGH SCHOOL ELITE
High School Elite is designed for high school athletes.  This program is set up to challenge advanced players and will teach skills appropriate for the high school player.  Intensity and competition will be high priorities. The Fall program is specifically designed to help prepare you for basketball season. Freshman-Senior athletes may enroll.  Younger athletes will accepted at the discretion of the VA staff. This program is designed for the older and more skilled high school age players.  Teaching takes place primarily through competitive games and structured, organized play.
