WHAT TO BRING TO BASKETBALL CAMP

Signed Medical Release Waiver
Without this form you cannot play. Must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.

You do not need to bring a football
Footballs will be provided for the camp.

Athletic shoes
2 to 3 pair of shoes – gym, grass cleats, comfortable shoes

Warm-ups
Bring a set of sweats you can easily pull on and off over your shoes.

Athletic gear
Everything you need to wear for your sport.

Light Bedding and pillow ( We recommend a sleeping bag and a sheet in case the room is too warm for sleeping inside the bag)

Sun Screen

Toiletries
Towel, Soap, Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Shampoo, Deodorant, Etc...

Swim suit
Many of our sites (not all) have access to swimming facilities (swimming is always optional).

Letter Writing Supplies

Please bring pen or pencil, paper, envelop and stamp.

Small Fan
This will help your room stay cool. (Exceptions: Simpson and North Idaho)

$40-$60
Spending money for snacks, drinks, T-shirts, shorts and other products. On the last night, for a late night celebration, we offer slices of pizza and pop for purchase.

Water Bottle
Also available for sale in the camp store.

Alarm Clock (non-radio)
Coaches will wake up campers but it is a good idea to have your own clock in case you could not hear wake up and to help you be on time for events.

Notebook
You may wish to record what you are learning. You can also try-out for our highest award, the Golden Ruler. If you are 13 and older you may try for this award.

DO NOT BRING: Electronic devices such as CD/DVD players, ipods, video games, TV, jewelry, radio, or cell phones. Food items such as gum or sticky candy. NBC Camps is not liable or responsible for lost and/or stolen items at camp. Campers are warned not to bring any expensive electronics to camp and we advise all campers to place valuables in the camp store such as money and transportation tickets for safe keeping for the duration of the camp.

WHAT KIND OF BASKETBALL TO BRING

Do not bring a basketball that is lopsided.

Do not bring a basketball that is slippery and slick.

Do not bring a basketball that has hard rubber such as "The Gripper."

Choose an indoor/outdoor ball.

Especially if you are just learning, choose a ball that has different color panels for shot rotation analysis.

Choose a ball with deep seams. The deeper the seams the better the ball quality.
