We are very excited to announce that we are holding a second week of NBC UK Basketball Camp in the UK this year at Malvern St James School in the Midlands.  The town of Great Malvern is a beautiful 19th-century spa town on the side of the Malvern Hills, a perfect safe location to hold an NBC Basketball Camp.  This will be the first year that our American Basketball coaching and philosophy is offered on the UK mainland.

Please note you can register for camp online but cannot pay online . You will be contacted after you place your registration with payment instructions.  Your place on camp will not be confirmed until the deposit payment is received.  We endeavour to contact you within 48 hours of you registering online.

About the campus
Located in the heart of rural England, Malvern St James School is a beautiful setting for camp.
Campers will be staying in a nice residential dormitory.  Each room accommodates between two and ten campers, with nearby bathroom facilities.  You do not need to request a roommate before camp begins.  When you register for camp, have your preferred roommate(s) with you and we will endeavour to room you together.  If you have no preference, we will match you with someone of the same gender and similar age.  The cafeteria and food service provides nutritious meals, with an all-you-can-eat breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet.

Swimming available
Malvern St James has a swimming pool on site, which we will be able to use during the camp.  If you’d like to take advantage of this facility, please remember your swim stuff!

The basketball venues
The school has a brand new sports hall, with multiple courts and a second sports hall - “The Dome.  In addition, there is a large outdoor Astroturf area.  You will not be short of hoops to practice and play at!  A basketball enthusiasts’ dream!

We select outstanding people who are of high integrity and character, work ethic and willingness to help athletes be their best. We work hard to hire college players, college and high school coaches and dynamic competent teachers of the game.

Special Events
The Thursday of camp is D-Day.  A day on which we will push you to your limit both physically and mentally.  If you are up for a challenge, this is the place to be….
We run a special Carnival on one night of our camp, when campers compete against staff and each other in fun games. Popular games in the past have been 1 v 1 and 2 v 2 against our coaches! A wonderful way to relax after an intense day at camp.
On our last night of camp, we have a late night pizza feast to round off the camp experience.
Parents are welcome to attend any aspect of camp. We would particularly like to encourage parents join us for the All Star games, League finals and closing Award Ceremony on the final day at camp.  As we understand that many parents will be travelling to Malvern from various parts of the country we would like to offer the option to join us for a buffet lunch on the last day at a cost of £5.  Lunch vouchers will need to be pre-booked and will be issued before the day.

Travel
Campers will need to make their own way to the camp.  Travel connections are great!

Great Malvern Station is opposite the school and there are direct connections from Birmingham (approximately one hour) and London Paddington (approximately 2 ½ hours).
