SPORTS LEADERSHIP MINISTRIES: COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS

Each year Fred and Susie King-Crowell,
founders of NBC Camps, will provide four $500 scholarships to be awarded
to students who have attended NBC Camps. The scholarships will be awarded
on May 14th to outstanding students who meet specific criteria. Scholarships must be postmarked by April 2nd.
The Mike and Larry Crowell
- Outstanding Brother Award
$500 Scholarship to a four year college
This scholarship honors young men who have demonstrated excellence in
being an "outstanding brother". Mike Crowell is the older brother
of Fred. Every brother would benefit following Mike Crowell's example
of loyalty, friendship, love, and servant leadership that impacted Fred
Crowell in so many positive ways. Larry Crowell is Fred's younger brother.
Larry is a man of great strength and dignity. He lives above the line
with joy and thankfulness. He is one of the greatest over comers and a
role model for all who love him.

The Kathleen Crowell and
Nellie King-Amazing Woman Award
$500 Scholarship to a four year college
This award honors young women
who honor their mother in an exceptional manner. Mothers are the key stone
in families. Fred and Susie Crowell were blessed with exceptional mothers.
All NBC campers are encouraged to honor their parents.

The Jennifer Ferch and Jay
Crowell-Excellence Award
$500 Scholarship to a four year college
This award honors a female
or male who has demonstrated excellence in academics, athletics or music,
leadership, citizenship and especially in honoring their parents by living
a life of excellence.
Parents live to see their children exceed their own dreams and personal
successes. Jennifer and Jay bring honor to their parents by living well
and making a positive difference in our world.

Walt King, Walt Mitchell,
Father Bernie Tyrrell - Great Men Award
$500 Scholarship to a four year college
This scholarship is given to
a male student who exemplifies the virtues of hard work, dedication to
his country, acts of kindness, wise decision making and a gracious spirit.
Walt King fought for the United
States of America in WWII. He lived in a fox hole for 78 days under severe
hardship. For 32 years Walt delivered mail for the US Postal Service and
operated his own business. Walt King taught Susie King to be an exceptional
and loyal worker. Walt Mitchell was Fred Crowell's beloved uncle and hero.
Walt was the kindest and most loving man in his life. Father Tyrrell is
one of Gonzaga University's most renowned and respected professors. He
is the wisest and most gracious man in the lives of the Crowells.
