NBC Camps International Tours has been
set up to reward those campers who have been
making good choices in their life. We
are looking for athletes who display the
positive principles we promote at camp. People
who display confidence, have a positive self-image,
a high regard for others, a good-to-excellent
athletic ability, and openness to growing
in their personal faith. Experience
the personal development which emerges from
encountering other cultures, history and
people.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:
NBC Tours is excited to be celebrating
30 years of sending out tours the summer
of 2008. It is our goal to give the
athletes an experience of a lifetime. The
students will have many opportunities to
compete, meet people, and develop lifelong
friendships. We have a three-fold purpose
for sending out the tours:
To provide an environment for athletes
to grow in their understanding of history,
culture, community, and faith.
To increase enthusiasm for sports and
improve athletic skills through a broad
level of competition.
To promote international goodwill.
Fred Crowell, NBC Camps Founder and President
has stated NBC Tours is the Mercedes of
NBC Camps.
For years we have sent athletes from the
United States and Canada all over the world
to play basketball, volleyball and soccer.
To many it has been one of the highlights
of their athletic careers. We have found
that young people experience a tremendous
amount of personal growth on a NBC Tour:
Educationally you will grow, learn and
develop a world vision for your life.
Psychologically you will develop new
and important social skills, have more
self-confidence and develop leadership
skills.
Spiritually you will be in an environment
where personal faith in God is encouraged
and will empower you to greater personal
joy and achievement.
Athletically you will improve as a player,
as you will be playing very competitive
international teams.
Info on Tour Director Bonnie Tucker
I cannot dunk or run down the court and
bounce the ball at the same time. I am not
real great when it comes to volleyball – always
seems like the ball hits me in the face (in
fact when I was in high school another girl
who was very athletic threatened to beat
me up if I did not play better); when it
comes to soccer, I loved the exercise
but could never get the ball pass the goalie.
But despite all this, I can really direct
site seeing tours. I would love
to have you ask any tour members about my
walking tour in London – I can out
walk those young people and what a privilege
to take them by Big Ben at a certain hour,
let them spend some time in front of the
Palace and then take them to the Original
Hard Rock Café and have a great lunch
so we have some more energy to get walking
and site seeing again.
What a privilege for me to get to know tour
members and their families during the months
that lead up to the summer tour. I
absolutely love the first few hours of summer
training, watching the tour members, their
families and our tour staff interact. I
compare those first few hours to the last
hour of tour when they are saying their goodbyes
at the airport (usually the baggage claim)
after spending approximately 2 weeks together.
This summer will be my 22nd summer with
NBC Camps, my 5th year as the Tour Director
and I am so excited to see what the summer
brings for our Tour Members and our Tour Staff.
