BASKETBALL DAY CAMP INFORMATION
Daily Times for Day Camp: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (The Director will provide exact drop-off and pick-up times - first-day check-in is 8:30 am)
CAMP DESCRIPTIONS
Team Play, Scoring & Leadership Camp Focus:
* Team Play & Communication – Learn to work cohesively, communicate effectively, and execute as a unit.
* Scoring Techniques – Master finishing at the rim, mid-range, and beyond the arc in a team setting.
* Leadership Development – Build confidence, inspire teammates, and lead by example on and off the court.
* Offensive & Defensive Strategies – Understand systems, spacing, and rotations for team success.
* Game Awareness & IQ – Elevate decision-making and adaptability in high-pressure situations.
🏀 Designed for players looking to enhance their team contributions, scoring ability, and leadership impact!
INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & OTHER
Ratio: approximately a 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, skill, and experience.
Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own athletic equipment and have at least one pair of well broken-in basketball (court) shoes. Campers do need to bring their own basketball (clearly labeled with their name). Visit our Camp Packing List for a full list of what to bring. NBC Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen items.
Allergies/Dietary Restrictions/Medical Concerns: please include this on your registration so campus staff and camp staff can be prepared for your camper's arrival.
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is available through Monte Vista Christian School. All reservations must be made through them at Summer Camp Transportation 2025.

NBC Basketball Camps offers Hoopgear packages for pre-purchase. Walk into camp and get your gear for summer 2025. This year the Hoopgear offers two package options. The NBC Basketball premier hoodie and the basketball shorts or leggings. Add this to your camp registration and it will be ready for you at camp. Bullying Policy- Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among students that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Three types of bullying include verbal, social, and physical. At NBC Camps, we will not tolerate bullying and any reported incident will be investigated and taken seriously. Bullying behavior could result in immediate dismissal from camp.
International Travel Teams- NBC invites athletes ages 14-18 on international tours through the NBC Travel Teams program. Coach Mike Allen
Coach Mike Allen is a decorated former professional athlete and accomplished coach with nearly three decades of experience in basketball leadership. As a player, he achieved extraordinary success, earning 3x NBCAA All-American honors, 3x National Championships (1993, 1994, 1995), and an MVP title while scoring over 2,500 points and grabbing more than 700 rebounds during his collegiate career. His professional playing career spanned seven years, competing internationally across Europe, Asia, and Africa. Coach Allen has been featured in major publications such as Sports Illustrated, SportsStars Magazine, and the San Jose Mercury News for his impact on players and communities through basketball. As a coach, Mike Allen has dedicated his life to developing athletes on and off the court. He has served as a director for basketball programs partnering with the Golden State Warriors, Jr. NBA, and Jr. WNBA, impacting over 3000+ players annually. His leadership extends to high school, college, and semi-professional levels, earning accolades like Coast Conference Coach of the Year. He will be inducted into his HS Hall of Fame (May 18, 2025) Additionally, he has run elite AAU teams, NCAA-certified tournaments, and basketball camps under Mike Allen Sports, providing young athletes with opportunities to grow their skills and character. With his unparalleled expertise, passion, and commitment to mentorship, Coach Mike Allen inspires players and coaches to strive for greatness in basketball and life.
