Wenatchee, Washington will be home to NBC Basketball Camps in 2024 at Cascade Christian Academy. This skills camp is perfect for athletes aged 10-15 who want to gain priceless muscle memory and confidence in their game. NBC Camp training curriculum will include work on ball handling, shooting form, defensive intensity, offensive moves, goal setting, teamwork and leadership. DAY CAMP INFORMATION

Daily Times for Day Camp: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (first-day check-in is 8:45 am)

What to Bring: Campers should bring a sack lunch (any snacks if necessary), a basketball labeled with their name, a water bottle, and a completed medical release waiver.

CAMP DESCRIPTION

Complete Skills Basketball Day Camps focus on the crucial keys to becoming a great player. We break our teaching into four focus areas: Individual offense, defense, shooting, and team skills. Campers are separated into teaching groups and teams based on their age and skill level. Complete Skills Day Camps emphasize skill development, intensity, enthusiasm, leadership, and teamwork. NBC Camps' full-time staff work year-round to make NBC Camps the premier basketball camp in the world.

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & OTHER

Ratio: approximately a 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, skill, and experience.
Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own athletic equipment and have at least one pair of well-broken-in basketball (court) shoes. Campers do need to bring their own basketball (clearly labeled with their name). Visit our Camp Packing List for a full list of what to bring. NBC Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen items.
Allergies/Dietary Restrictions/Medical Concerns: please include this on your registration so campus staff and camp staff can be prepared for your camper's arrival.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

DAY CAMP - SAMPLE SCHEDULE

9:00 am Welcome and warm ups

10:00 am Fundamental skill work such as shooting, passing, rebounding, finishing, defense, and getting open

Camp Director Chris Koebelin

Chris has coached basketball for the past 20 years. Over the past decade he has coached Club, Select and AAU basketball teams for both boys and girls ranging from 10-18 years old. He is currently the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Klahowya Secondary School and led them to the most successful season in program history in 2021-22. He has been directing NBC summer day camps since 2018 around the Northwest and beyond.

She finished her high school career at Klahowya Secondary in Silverdale, WA as the all-time leader in points scored, 3 pointers made and assists. Ella was the Kitsap Sun Player of the Year her senior year and was named to the WSGBCA All State Team. She started attending NBC Camps as a 6th grader and continued through high school. She has helped coach at several NBC camps and clinics the past few years.

Unlike other camp programs where skills training falls under the expertise of the camp director, NBC Camps has built a program of training to help each camper walk out of camp a better player and person. Our site directors work as event managers helping to run a great week of camp and facilitating the implementation of our specific camp expectations.
Our basketball instruction is based on skill curriculum and talent development we believe are essential to take your game to the next level. Though coaching styles and drills may change, our master teachers receive DVDs, lesson plans, and detailed training on how to maximize this week of camp. Coaching at camp is much different than coaching a team. With over 40 years experience, our goal is to give you the best basketball and life skills instruction possible.
