About the Campus
North Idaho College is located on the world famous lake Coeur d' Alene. Campers have access during supervised free time for lake swimming. Campers will be staying in the dorms at North Idaho College's new multi-million dollar facility. Rooms are air-conditioned and each suite houses three to four campers with individual private showers and facilities. You do not need to request a roommate before camp begins. When you sign up for a room, have your preferred roommate with you. If you have no preference, we will match you with someone of the same gender and similar age. The cafeteria provides all-you can eat selections. NIC has one college-size gym on campus and campers alternate bussing to nearby local gyms for greater floor space for games and training. The evening program is located in a large event room in the student center.

Camp Director

We select outstanding people we believe are of high integrity and character, work ethic and willingness to pour their lives into helping athletes be their best. We work hard to hire college players and coaches, along with high school coaches who are dynamic and competent teachers of the game.

The NBC Difference
Unlike other camp programs where skills training falls under the expertise of the camp director, NBC Camps has built a program of training to help each camper walk out of camp a better player and person.  Our site directors work as event managers helping to run a great week of camp and facilitating the implementation of our specific camp expectations.   Our basketball instruction is based on skill curriculum and talent development we believe are essential to take your game to the next level.   Though coaching styles and drills may change, our master teachers receive DVDs, lesson plans, and detailed training on how to maximize this week of camp.  Coaching at camp is much different than coaching a team.  With over 40 years experience, our goal is to give you the best basketball and life skills instruction possible.

Coach the game at a world class level.  FAB 4
• Protect the ball
• Play with quickness and intensity
• Play Smart
• Finish the play

Teach by living valuable skills for life.   LIFE 4
• Guard your heart
• Live with love & intensity
• Be smart by seeking out wisdom
• Finish strong, never give up

TEC Method
The ability to know, understand and apply is the heart of NBC’s Teach, Encourage, Correct method.  True teaching takes place when the student knows how to reproduce the skill and self-correct the skill when it is wrong.

Intense but super fun

I liked how enthusiastic all the coaching staff was. I liked my discussion group and getting to know my team better. I liked how coaches spot lighted girls for hard work, and I liked when they asked us to spot light each other because I like to make others feel special. It also made me feel special and rewarded when I heard my name. I liked intensity night even though I was really hard, and the floor was soaked with sweat. I liked playing in the All Star game with girls who worked really hard and deserved to be there. I liked getting to learn the post position since I normally play at guard.

The coaches were friendly, the speakers/evening programs were awesome, and I learned a ton!

Loved it!

It was a great setup as the whole camp went by and Intensity night was the best and you should do it again. It was nice to meet some new people and I learned a lot about basketball and I got better.

So happy

My daughter attended this camp and had a great time. She worked not only on the fundamentals but on herself as well. She learned that with hard work anything is possible. I as her mom could not wait to talk to her at night because she always sounded so happy and wanted to talk about her day. Thank you NBC for providing a camp with such great leadership.

Time of her life

My daughter had the time of her life. It is a safe environment for her to improve her skills for life and basketball. She got to play a lot of games and improved significantly in just one week.

Want to come back

Everyone at the camp was so positive and wanted to become better players. The Coaches always kept you active and I never felt homesick one bit. I recommend anyone who wants to be a better player to go to this camp. I really liked this camp and I want to come back again!

Awesome experience

My twin daughters loved NBC Camp. They came home mentally tougher, spiritually stronger and better prepared for basketball season with improved skills. They met other girls whom they really had fun getting to know. It was an awesome experience for them!

Worth every penny!

My kids have attended NBC camp since 2008. Every year they look so forward to camp. Even though they work so hard and are pushed to their limit, they love it! They all show improvement at the end of each camp. I love how it teaches them so much more than just basketball. Character traits that are sure to be with them and help them in every aspect of life. We have three kids that attend. It is expensive, but definitely not an area that is negotiable. It is worth every penny!

Better player and person

This camp really made me a better player and a better person. I feel like I can be myself and am around people who push me to be my best and with whom I can be honest.

NBC develops the "whole person"

The focus on developing the whole person makes it a two for one camp experience. The fact that christian values are recognized and valued was critical to our camp selection. This was my daughters second year in a row!!! Thank you for providing inspirational role models, core values and great basketball!!!! I will continue to sing the camps praises!!!! Thank you!!!

Great staff!

My son started going to the NIC NBC camp three years ago. My son has ADHD and has since kindergarten. Your staff did not complain or call us during that whole week. The next year my son had a different medication that helped in focus. The coach even said what an improvement he had made. My son loves this camp because they accept him for who he is...thank you.
