For what ages are NBC Camps' programs available?
NBC Camps offers a number of programs for a variety of age groups. Most of our camps accept participants between the ages of 9-18, however, some of our day camps will accept those as young as 7. We also have a Family Hoops camp for parents and kids (8 - adult). The NBC College Basketball Prep Camp is for high school and college students ages 14-20 years old.
What is your Refund Policy?
NBC Camps Cancellation Policy
If you have to cancel, for any reason, we will issue you a camp voucher worth all camp fees paid less the $15 registration fee. This voucher is good for any NBC Camps Event (summer camps, Varsity Academy, clinic) which occurs before December 31, 2014. Your camp voucher is only transferable to an immediate family member. Cash refunds or more flexible camp credits will only be given with the purchase of Cancellation Protection. (See rules below).
(Please note you can register up to the day camp starts as long as there is room, but you must make full payment)
May or June Camps, final payments are due May 1st.
July Camps, final payments are due June 1st.
August Camps, final payments are due July 1st.
After these dates, the cancellation protection will be for a camp voucher only.
After the due dates, all camps must be paid in full. Please call the NBC Central Office if you need more flexible payment options at 1-800-406-3926.
The Cancellation Protection fee can be purchased for $35 per camp session, and is the only way to receive a refund back to your credit card in the event of a cancellation before the final payment deadline. If you cancel by your Camp Tuition balance due date, you will receive a refund of all Camp Tuition payments made less the registration fee ($15) and the cancellation protection fee ($35). If you cancel after your Camp Tuition balance due date, we will issue you a camp voucher for all camp tuition fees paid, valid for any NBC Camps event which occurs before December 31, 2014.
Because we rent our facilities, we pre-purchase our rentals based on enrollment. If you cancel too close to the start of camp we cannot refund your credit card regardless if you purchase cancellation protection and can only offer you the opportunity to use all your monies (less the registration fee) for next year's camps.
How can I pay my balance?
Most of you have probably already authorized us to automatically charge your balance with your credit card on the due date. If not, please contact us with a credit card or send a check to NBC Camps. You can check your balance anytime on the page called Get Ready for Camp by clicking here.
How do I get my Registration Packet which includes when to arrive, what to bring, directions, health form, etc.?
Go to the NBC Camps home page and click the Get Ready for Camps link on the top of the page. Follow directions from there. Most registration packets are available by the first week in May.
How do I get a coaching or athletic training job at NBC Camps?
Each camp director is responsible for hiring their own staff and typically hire in early spring. If you are interested in applying for a position, please visit our Summer Employment Page.
How do I request a brochure?
Go to the "Get Into Camp" button on the top of any page and pick a sport. From there you'll pick your program, then select an individual camp page. There will be a "Get a Brochure" button to click in the middle of every camp page. Follow directions from there to receive either an instant download PDF brochure, or place your request to have a printed brochure mailed to you.
Can you send me brochures for my team?
Yes, thanks for asking! Please call us at 1-800-406-3926 (NBC Camps). Let us know which sport and how many brochures you need and we'll get them mailed to you right away.
What if I sign up but need to change the week of camp I am attending or even the location?
Moving from one week of camp to another or even a different location is typically not a problem and very easy to do. Please call 1-800-406-3926 and we would be happy to make any changes you need. If the camp you are switching to costs more, you will need to pay the balance. If it costs less, we will refund you the difference. The only time we should not be able to help you move is if the camp you desire to move to is full.
Do you offer financial aid?
Athletes who cannot afford the cost of camp may request financial assistance through our scholarship program. If you feel you qualify for financial assistance, please email us for a scholarship application.
My question isn't answered here, what should I do?
