DAY CAMP INFORMATION

Daily Times for Day Camp: 9am to 3pm (first day check-in is 8:30am)

CAMP DESCRIPTIONS

Complete Skills Basketball Day Camp focuses on the crucial keys for athletes to become excellent at the game of basketball. We break our teaching into four focus areas: Individual offense, defense, shooting and team skills. Campers are separated into teaching groups and teams based on their age and ability.

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & OTHER

Ratio: approximately a 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, skill, and experience.
Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own athletic equipment and have at least one pair of well broken-in basketball (court) shoes. Campers do need to bring their own basketball (clearly labeled with their name).
Allergies/Dietary Restrictions/Medical Concerns: please include this on your registration so campus staff and camp staff can be prepared for your camper's arrival.

HEALTH & RELEASE FORMS

All registered campers are required to have a parent or legal guardian fill out the mandatory Health & Release Forms before arrival at camp. This camp does NOT require a doctor's signature on the forms.

CAMP INFORMATION PACKET

A detailed Camp Information Packet containing check-in location and address, on-site staff contact information, a checklist of things to bring, site-specific forms, and more will be emailed to all registered campers prior to camp.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

DAY CAMP - SAMPLE SCHEDULE

• 9:00am Welcome and Warm Up
• 9:15am Morning Skill Session (ball handling, shooting and individual offense)
• 12:00pm Lunch - bring bag lunch
• 12:45pm Afternoon Program (Leadership and life skills training and small group discussions)
• 1:30pm Afternoon Competition Session (team concepts, small sided games, and live scrimmage)
• 3:00pm Spotlights, daily review and camper dismissal

ABOUT THE CAMPUS

Parkland Immanuel Christian School is located conveniently off the Anthony Henday and Lessard Rd in Northwest Edmonton. It has a standard gym with 6 baskets.
