How to evaluate your season -- a great coaching self check

Coaches, seasons can be grueling and tough. Here is a great tool to use after your season ends.
Begin by setting time to get alone for a self-assessment in your coaching journey. Take a pad of paper and pen to make notes on each of these questions.
Are you truly engaging with your loved ones, or are your thoughts consumed by the game? Can you appreciate life fully, or are you sidetracked? Are you present in the moment, or do you feel weighed down by distractions?
Coaching is straightforward. It becomes complex when we worry about others' opinions and get caught up in "what if" scenarios. Keep it uncomplicated by choosing to be present, engaged, and attentive. Set boundaries against negative thoughts.
• If you're facing a tough season, prioritize fun. Laugh, unwind, pray, exercise, and trust in God. Focus on peace rather than judgment, discipline, or frustration. Seek out mentors, friends, and kindness. Reach out more often.
• If your season feels stagnant, increase your energy. Bring enthusiasm, encouragement, and focus to where your energy is directed. Ignite your passion.
• If your season is progressing well, maintain humility and a strong drive. Stay disciplined, avoid excess, and intensify your efforts. Sharpen your focus and amplify your impact.
Whatever you are going through, know that God is with you and desiring to help you each step of the way. Your life is a blink of an eye. Don’t lose sight of what matters. Simplify anything that is distracting you from your relationships with loving God and loving people. You change the world through your small daily encouraging interactions. We believe in you!
