CAMP DESCRIPTIONS

Complete Player Camps focus on the crucial keys to becoming a great player. We break our teaching into four focus areas: Individual offense, defense, shooting, and team skills. Campers are separated into teaching groups and teams based on their age and ability. Complete Player Camps emphasize extensive skill development, intensity, enthusiasm, leadership, and teamwork. NBC Camps's full-time staff work year round developing curriculum, training staff, and creating a camp environment that makes NBC Camps the premier basketball camp in the world.

Shooting and Attack Moves Camp focuses on basketball’s most crucial skill, shooting. At this camp, NBC staff work with campers to gain greater depth as a shooter as well as hone offensive moves. The focus of this camp is to become an offensive threat on the court. All athletes receive video analysis of their shots, personal evaluations and drills, and skills designed for improvement.

NBC Camps is the largest overnight basketball camp program in the world. We focus on total skill development, emphasizing training the total athlete. Our camps elevate skill levels through intensive skill training. We break down each skill into specific portions which ingrain the skill and create "muscle memory." The intensity of our camps helps maximize the heightened environment necessary for growth. Our camps are high-energy, fun, and unlike any other camp experience. Come elevate your game and change your life.

Intensity Night- Intensity Night is a unique NBC Camps event involving sweat, music, encouragement, and craziness. Intensity Night allows campers to work harder than they’ve ever worked before, and they’ll be cheered and encouraged every step, jump, and push-up along the way. Campers set their level of intensity and everyone is encouraged to reach his/her personal goals. No one is forced to go beyond their abilities. It’s a great opportunity for campers to explore how fun hard work can be. At some locations, families are welcome to attend to observe and encourage campers, you will be notified by your camp director before camp if this is available.

Camp Store- At some locations, there is a camp store that sells anything from snacks and sports drinks to NBC gear such as t-shirts and sweatshirts. When there is a camp store, there is also a camp bank located near the check-in tables on the first day. Parents can give money to the camp bank on behalf of their camper so they can purchase merchandise or snacks from the camp store. We recommend sending between $40-$60 for snacks, drinks, apparel, and other products. On the last day of camp, parents should retrieve any unspent money. Not all locations have a camp store.

Golden Ruler Award- The Golden Ruler Award is the highest achievement at NBC Camps. It is designed to teach campers to become a person of depth and reflection while instilling the importance of community service, discipline, and accountability. The criteria for the award are very strict, thus only campers ages 13-18 may try for the award. Those who would like to attempt this should bring a notebook. Criteria include journaling, designing workouts, memorization, testing, essays, and more. *Not all locations offer the Golden Ruler

International Travel Teams- NBC invites athletes ages 14-18 on international tours through the NBC Travel Teams program. Campers will learn about NBC tours at camp and can apply for one of our teams by contacting Travel Team Director Breanna Lyons at travelteams@nbccamps.com or visit http://www.nbccamps.com/international

    Loved it

Having the opportunity to learn new skills to improve his shooting, his dribbling , and most importantly his sense of self as a player and a teammate . I saw my son watching his peers play , and from the sidelines , cheering on the players and walking up and down the sidelines encouraging the players to do well. I’ve not seen this side of him in basketball, and a as a parent it makes me extremely proud thankful for sending my son to a camp that develops the player on so many important levels . I am very thankful for all of the NBC staff who coached and guided my son . So thankful for NBC camps. I thank you, sincerely , for the time and energy spent in developing the player and more importantly the person . Such a great camp. Thank you .
