Varsity Academy offers high-level basketball training programs in Spokane, Washington, designed to help athletes continue developing their skills during the Fall and Spring seasons.
VA Competitive Scrimmage League
High School Varsity Boys | Ages 15–18
This program is designed for experienced high school basketball players who are ready to compete in a fast-paced, competitive scrimmage environment.
IMPORTANT REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT:
To participate, athletes must have completed at least one full season of high school varsity basketball or large-school junior varsity basketball.
Please Note: Because this program is built around competitive play, we work to match athletes with players of similar skill levels and experience. If a player is struggling to keep pace with the group’s ability or level of play, the Lead Coach will reach out to discuss the best path forward. This may include transitioning the athlete out of the current session.

Current or incoming high school varsity players.
IMPORTANT REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT
To register, athletes must have completed at least one full season of high school varsity basketball or large-school (3A/4A) junior varsity basketball, with the expectation of playing varsity for the upcoming season.
This requirement helps ensure that all athletes are placed in a competitive environment with players of similar experience and ability.
COMPETITIVE PLAY EXPECTATIONS
This program relies on matching players of similar skill levels to create a competitive and productive scrimmage environment.
If a player is struggling to match the pace or ability of the group, the Lead Coach will reach out to discuss the best path forward. This may include transitioning the athlete out of the current session.

Lead Coach Kobe Parlin
Kobe Parlin is a dynamic senior guard for the Whitworth University Pirates and a dedicated Collegiate Area Representative for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) in Spokane. Originally a standout MVP at Mark Morris High School, Parlin launched his college career at Lower Columbia College, where he earned First-Team All-NWAC West Region honors after averaging 17.1 points per game and leading his team to a 26–4 record. He went on to help Central Washington University secure its first regular-season GNAC title since 2011, before transferring to Whitworth for the 2025–26 season, where he averaged 10.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. Off the court, Parlin blends his athletic passion with community impact through his student-athlete ministry leadership.
