About Benji
Benji Williams has been part of the NBC Basketball family since 1993—beginning as a camper, then serving as a Master Teacher during summer camps, and eventually becoming the Director of NBC Varsity Academy. His long-standing commitment to the program reflects both his passion for the game and his dedication to mentoring young athletes.
Beyond NBC Camps, Benji has spent 20 years as an educator with the Calgary Board of Education. Thirteen as a Physical Education teacher, and the last 7 as an Assistant Principal and Principal. He is deeply committed to helping students become the best versions of themselves—both as athletes and as people. Through sport, Benji intentionally teaches life skills such as perseverance, confidence, teamwork, and joy in the process. He believes athletics are one of the most powerful platforms for building character that lasts far beyond the game.
