Driving Directions
- From North, West, or South: Take 36th Avenue East, past Lake Otis (36th becomes Providence Drive, then University Drive). Remain on Providence Drive past Providence Hospital - cross Bragaw Street (3 way stop) and you are on University Drive and the APU campus. Take a left into the parking lot. Bullying Policy- Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among students that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Three types of bullying include verbal, social, and physical. At NBC Camps, we will not tolerate bullying and any reported incident will be investigated and taken seriously. Bullying behavior could result in immediate dismissal from camp.
Intensity Night- Intensity Night is a unique NBC Camps event involving sweat, music, encouragement, and craziness. Intensity Night gives campers the opportunity to work harder than they’ve ever worked before, and they’ll be cheered and encouraged every step, jump, and push-up along the way. Campers set their level of intensity and everyone is encouraged to reach his/her personal goals. No one is forced to go beyond their abilities. It’s a great opportunity for campers to explore how fun hard work can be. At some locations, families are welcome to attend to observe and encourage campers, you will be notified by your camp director prior to camp if this is available.
Camp Store- At some locations, there is a camp store that sells anything from snacks and sports drinks to NBC gear such t-shirts and sweatshirts. When there is a camp store, there is also a camp bank located near the check-in tables on the first day. Parents can give money to the camp bank on behalf of their camper so they can purchase merchandise or snacks from the camp store. We recommend sending between $40-$60 for snacks, drinks, apparel, and other products. On the last day of camp parents should retrieve any unspent money. Not all locations have a camp store.
Golden Ruler Award- The Golden Ruler Award is the highest achievement at NBC Camps. It is designed to teach campers to become a person of depth and reflection, while instilling the importance of community service, discipline, and accountability. The criteria for the award are very strict, thus only campers ages 13-18 may try for the award. Those who would like to attempt this should bring a notebook and a Bible. Criteria includes journaling, designing workouts, memorization, testing, essays and more. *Not all locations offer the Golden Ruler
International Travel Teams- NBC invites athletes ages 14-18 on international tours through the NBC Travel Teams program. Campers will learn about NBC tours at camp and can apply for one of our teams by contacting Travel Team Director Breanna Lyons at travelteams@nbccamps.com or visit http://www.nbccamps.com/international

Amazing Week
GO, GO, GO!!!! Talk about a positive place for teen girls to be! The coaches show the girls how to be strong, not only physically but mentally. When I came to pick my daughter up from camp, you could see it on all the girls faces; the fun times they had and the excitement to get out there and accomplish the next task that came their way. What a week! Thanks NBC Alaska Volleyball!

Everything was good. The girls only mentioned it was kind of crowded sleeping quarters and too few and "kind of yucky" showers.

Every Year!
Every year, I continue to meet new campers and coaches, and even some that I still stay in touch with. I loved being pushed at morning workouts and intensity night because that's how you get better and that's why I come to camp. I also love having guest speakers every night. Listening to coach Green and coach Lauwers is very inspiring! Also, roll calls are so much fun! My absolute favorite part of camp was the Golden Ruler program. I initially wanted to do it to challenge myself and to become a better leader on and of the court but I got so much more out of it. I learned time management, keeping a positive attitude, and more about my faith and myself.
