CAMP DESCRIPTION

Complete Skills Junior Day Camps are designed to instill a love for basketball to young athletes ages 7-13. Shooting, passing, dribbling, defense, and individual scoring techniques are taught in an atmosphere of encouragement, enthusiasm, and fun. NBC coaches love kids and create an environment where each child feels valued and is excited to work hard and get better. During this formative time, building skill mastery is crucial. It takes about 50-100 accurate repetitions over three days to learn a new skill. It takes about 2500 accurate repetitions over three weeks to undo a skill learned incorrectly. At NBC Camps, we believe it is worth the investment to help younger athletes learn a skill accurately. We also believe having fun is crucial for future passion. NBC junior camps combine great teaching, high energy, enthusiasm, and tons of fun into a camp experience younger athletes will love.

Complete Skills Day Camps are designed for more experienced players who would benefit to move at a faster teaching pace and have more experience with the game. Camps are intensive and these camps are best for students who love basketball and are ready to learn. Emphasis at these camps are on skill mastery, game understanding, leadership, building talent, and playing competitively. Coaches strike a great balance between challenging and fun as well as helping students understand what is needed to play basketball well.

    Son loved camp!

Camp Coaches

  • Coach Keith Noren

Hello! My name is Keith Noren, and I am thrilled to serve as the Director of the Pasco basketball camps for a second year. This marks my fourth year with NBC, where I’ve developed a deep love for working with both campers and coaches. I am a middle school math teacher and the athletic director at Christ the King School in Richland. Prior to my role as athletic director, I coached boys’ AAU and school basketball, as well as girls’ school basketball. My goals for all campers are to develop new basketball skills, forge new friendships, grow in their faith, and, most importantly, have fun!
