Bozeman, Montana 2027 Basketball Summer Camp go live starting November 30
NBC Basketball Camps will host a comprehensive basketball camp at Petra Academy located just outside of Bozeman - A Complete Skills Basketball Day Camp for different ages, talents and skill levels.
NBC Basketball Camps have been training athletes since 1971 and have had many go on to play at the college level. NBC Basketball Camps curriculum focuses on mastering fundamental skills and boosting confidence on and off the court.

BASKETBALL DAY CAMP INFORMATION
Daily Times for Day Camp: 10:00 am to 3:00 pm (Director will provide exact drop-off and pick-up times - first-day check-in is 9:45am)
CAMP DESCRIPTIONS
Complete Skills Basketball Day Camp focuses on the crucial keys for young athletes to become excellent at the game of basketball. The intensity, curriculum, and schedule are conducive for 9-14 year old athletes and we highly recommend this camp as a starting point before coming to an overnight camp. We break our teaching into four focus areas: Individual offense, defense, shooting, and team skills. Campers are separated into teaching groups and teams based on their age and ability.
INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & OTHER
Ratio: Approximately a 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, skill, and experience.
Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own athletic equipment and have at least one pair of well-broken-in basketball (court) shoes. Campers do need to bring their own basketball (clearly labeled with their name). Visit our Camp Packing List for a full list of what to bring. NBC Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen items.
Allergies/Dietary Restrictions/Medical Concerns: please include this on your registration so campus staff and camp staff can be prepared for your camper's arrival.
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

Day Camp Sample Schedule
- 9:00 am Welcome and warm up
- 9:20 am Ball handling and dribbling stations
- 10:00 am Skill work such as shooting, footwork, attacking the basket, finishing, rebounding, defense, and/or passing
- 12:00 pm Lunch break
- 12:45 pm Leadership training and discussion
- 1:15 pm Competitive work such as shooting games, small-sided games, scrimmage
- 3:00 pm Spotlights and daily review
Located on the west side of Bozeman, the newly built gymnasium at the Petra Academy holds six basketball hoops.

Camp Director, NBC at RMC Layne Glaus
Layne grew up on the family ranch in Whitehall, MT. After high school, he played at the University of Montana-Western where he helped the team to and NAIA Sweet Sixteen. He was awarded second team all-conference in back-to-back seasons. Layne began his coaching career as the JV coach for Montana-Western and coached for five years at Park High School, where he was also the Athletic Trainer. He now is the Head Coach at Manhattan Christian which won back-to back state titles in ‘22 and ’23.
