NBC Volleyball Camps will host at Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona. Student athletes focus on comprehensive training in skill mastery, volleyball IQ, leadership, confidence and mental toughness training.
Student-athletes stay on-site and participate in the Complete Player INTENSIVE Camp for advanced athletes or the Complete Player Camp for those who are beginning/intermediate. Camps are high energy, very intentional and supportive.

DAILY TIMES & CAMP INFORMATION
OVERNIGHT CAMP SCHEDULE
First-day check-in begins at 10:00 am for overnight and extended-day campers.
Last-day check-out at 4:00 pm.
EXTENDED DAY CAMP SCHEDULE
First day: 10:00 am-9:00 pm. Dinner provided.
Middle days: 9:00 am-9:00 pm. Lunch and dinner are provided.
Last day: 9:00 am-4:00 pm. Lunch provided.
Extended-day campers DO NOT sleep on campus or eat breakfast on campus.
CAMP DESCRIPTION
Complete Player Volleyball Camp offers training in all aspects of the sport including leadership and confidence training. NBC's Complete Player volleyball curriculum is for athletes who have limited experience or exposure to volleyball but want to gain more experience and learn more. Campers are grouped by age and skill level so they can compete in a rewarding environment.
Complete Player INTENSIVE Volleyball Camp offers high-level training in all aspects of the sport for experienced players who want a competitive and energetic environment. NBC's Volleyball INTENSIVE curriculum is all-encompassing to help athletes develop and master skills to play volleyball with excellence. This camp is for advanced players with at least 2 years or more of volleyball experience.
ROOMMATES & HOUSING
Roommates for this site need to be requested at least two weeks before camp begins. If you have no preference, we will match you with a camper of the same gender and similar age. Contact nbc@nbccamps.com if you need to add a roommate request.

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & OTHER
Ratio: approximately a 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, skill, and experience.
Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own knee pads and athletic equipment and have at least one pair of well-broken-in volleyball (court) shoes. Campers do need to bring their own volleyball (clearly labeled with their name). Visit our Camp Packing List for a full list of what to bring. NBC Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen items.
Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
Allergies/Dietary Restrictions/Medical Concerns: please include this on your registration so campus staff and camp staff can be prepared for your camper's arrival and meals.
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

Intensity Night- Intensity Night is a unique NBC Camps event involving sweat, music, encouragement, and confidence building. Intensity Night allows campers to work harder than they’ve ever worked before, and they’ll be cheered and encouraged every step, jump, and push-up along the way. Campers set their level of intensity, and everyone is encouraged to reach their personal goals. No one is forced to go beyond their abilities. It’s a fantastic opportunity for campers to explore how fun and demanding work can be.
Camp Store- At some locations, there is a camp store that sells anything from snacks and sports drinks to NBC gear such as t-shirts and sweatshirts. When there is a camp store, there is also a camp bank located near the check-in tables on the first day. Parents can give money to the camp bank on behalf of their camper so they can purchase merchandise or snacks from the camp store. We recommend sending between $40-$60 for snacks, drinks, apparel, and other products. On the last day of camp, parents should retrieve any unspent money.
Golden Ruler Award- The Golden Ruler Award is the highest achievement at NBC Camps. It is designed to teach campers to become a person of depth and reflection while instilling the importance of community service, discipline, and accountability. The criteria for the award are very strict, thus only campers ages 13-18 may try for the award. Those who would like to attempt this should bring a notebook. Criteria include journaling, designing workouts, memorization, testing, essays, and more.
Travel Teams- NBC invites athletes ages 14-18 on international tours through the NBC Travel Teams program. Campers will learn about NBC tours at camp and can apply for one of our teams by contacting Travel Team Director Breanna Lyons at travelteams@nbccamps.com or visit http://www.nbccamps.com/international

ABOUT THE FACILITY
NBC Camps in Prescott, Arizona is now hosted at beautiful Yavapai College. The Yavapai campus is the perfect environment for an NBC basketball camp with facilities that are close together, great food services, and a big-feature gym.

WHAT IS THE INTENSITY LEVEL AT NBC CAMPS AT YAVAPAI COLLEGE?
Campers are busy from early morning until later evening and play approximately 8-10 hours each day. Camp is definitely an intensive yet amazing experience! For the high school intensive camp, it is recommended that athletes have at least 2 years of volleyball experience and understand the game. The complete player camp is for more beginner and intermediate and athletes newer to the game.

Camp Director Chelsey Lucas
Chelsey Lucas is the Head Volleyball Coach and Assistant Athletic Director at Yavapai College, known for orchestrating elite program turnarounds. At the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, she elevated the program from an NCAA ranking of 375 to the top 100, securing a 100% graduation rate and a SWAC title game appearance. Previously, she led Alcorn State to its first tournament in years and ranked second nationally in aces per set. A former SWAC Defensive Player of the Year at Grambling State, Coach Lucas holds master’s degrees from the University of Phoenix and Alcorn State.
